Again with the nothing stuff. Sorry about that. I'm rediscovering the school thing, which truthfully means lots of video games and a bit of homework. This is one thing I've been looking at lately. This Open Source Racer thing has something to it. It's not easy to drive, but it sure is beautiful and physics-intensive. It looks and feels pretty real. Of course, that mainly has to do with the models. *shrug*. My lesson is download that racer and have a bit of fun with it.

Before I go to sleep, I want to say something that is interesting to me. Today I saw an old man walking with a young man. They looked like mirror images, so I assumed that they were father and son or grandfather and grandson. I gotta say that even though neither of them had a smile on their face as wide as mine, they really have it made. So often, one hears of kids without role models doing bad things that could easily be prevented by a good role model. A person has to be independent to a point, but too much independence creates a monster such as I am. You don't want you kids to become me. Beyond physicist, programmer, college student, artist, and revolutionary, I am continually discontent. A father who is doing something with his son can find content if he searches for it a bit. Helping a young person find their way in life is a noble goal. No doubt, if that person is your son, you have a very solid responsibility to help him. The same goes for a daughter in different or visa-versa situations. The Fifth Commandment says that children should honor their father and mother, but it's certainly not right for a parent to make that job hard for their child. Take this odd example: a parent tells a his/her child to lie. That's another commandment, by the way. Which is the child to choose? I'd say that it's up to the child and I wouldn't weigh the parents too highly. So a parent who is a good role model makes the child's job easier while making the relationship much stronger and the child's character better. I'd say that's a noble goal.
