What a nice day today? Sun is shining through the clouds through my window. Monotonik is playing in my headphones.BitTorrent is uploading 22 kBps to unknown friends somewhere out there in the Small Wide World™.
I fixed my internet connection last night. That will be today's lesson. My internet was very slow at connecting for the past 1.5 years. It's so bad that my online video games wouldn't connect. I blamed it on the game until I fixed it last night. I switched my telephone service back in November which broke my DSL connection. MSN sent me a new DSL modem. I didn't open it because my old DSL modem worked fine. Well, last night it stopped working. I unplugged it and it wouldn't reconnect to the internet. So I opened up the new modem and viola, it works! The problem I was having no longer occurs. So... I want to implore you users out there in WWW-land, if you have a problem, check each section of the line. Software, Operating system configuration, Ethernet card, Crossover cable, DSL modem, DSL cable, DSL provider, and destination. If all are in order, your connection to the web should work perfectly. Of all people, I should be able figure out a problem like that. But it's not entirely my fault. The problem was a defective modem and the solution (a new modem) was not proposed by MSN for a year and a half of dealing with the problem. If I hadn't switched telephone services, they still wouldn't have sent me a working modem. This should be a lesson you can use: never use MSN ISP. I'm going to switch over to Zhonka DSL for many reasons, this being a big one.
Best of luck to y'all.
